I have been at 1.5 cm since 28 weeks and am now 33 weeks. I've gone from 50 % to 75% effaced over the last couple of weeks. You can basically hang out for months. I'm still having the cramping and Braxton-Hicks contractions, but I'm trying to wait until next Wednesday morning when my appointment is.Doctor wouldn't do a membrane sweep til 39 weeks so she scheduled me for next Thursday.Last pregnancy I was 2 cm dilated at 38 weeks and 3 cm at just over 39,weeks when she performed my sweep.
